Sailing is a great way to develop relationships and skills with your employees.You are away from urban distractions and most everything you do aboard a boat requires cooperation, organization, and leadership which is what a lot of team building is all about.

This year we will be offering a flotilla "cruise and learn" sail around Vancouver Island. This should appeal to those who have shied away from doing it themeselves, and wish to improve their sailing skills, while enjoying the adventure of their life..

Our Beneteau is well suited for team building. Her large salon, with seating area for 8 persons, can be used for group discussions and presentations. Her equally large cockpit and unobstructed deck area provides even more space for instruction and related activities.

For larger groupswe can arrange additional sail boats of similar size and features. Sailing in the company of two or more boats introduces an air of competition and rivalry, conducive to team building. It is also lots of fun!

"Cruise & Learn" Flotilla Tours

We have assembled a collection of sailboats to capture the spirit, fun and friendly competition of a sailing regatta. This is one example of the "team-building" exercises we can organize for you, either around Victoria, or elswehere around the Vancouver Island.

Victoria Area: Organized groups will sail “flotilla” style” from Victoria’s Inner Harbour (or alternatively from Oak Bay) to interesting places along the coast of Victoria and neighbouring Gulf Islands, stopping enroute to regroup for lunch and festivities. One favourite stopover ourt of Victoria is Ford Rodd Hill National Historic Site. Another, out of Oak Bay, is Discovery Island Marine Park. Expect a fun race home, possibly featuring some “nasty” water canon duals.

Our sailing regattas are intended to provide a “hands-on” sailing experience for those who appreciate the performance, comfort and fellowship, which only a sailboat in the 28 to 40 feet size can provide. Each vessel will have a sailing instructor in charge and will preferably carry no more than 4 to 6 persons each, allowing maximum opportunity to sail. No boating experience is required, only a desire to participate in the sailing of the boats (CYA "Introductory" sailing proficiency certificates can be presented upon completion).

The above tours will suit groups from 8 to 45 persons who are looking for an unusual marine adventure with a social and team-building flavour.

Both half day and full day tours will be offered, with prices starting from around $90. to $100. per person for a three to four hour sail (depending of course on the sail boats used, how long the trip, what special treats/tour options are desired, and where we are required to depart from (Oak Bay and Victoria's Inner Harbour are most convenient for us).
