By 2009 the Canadian Coast Guard will require that all boaters - power and sail be in possession of a Pleasure Craft Operators Card (PCOC ) demonstrating a basic knowledge of marine safety issues. Whatever your boat, if it has a motor you will be required to have this card and to produce it when asked

This card is good for life, and the knowledge you will gain in studying for this exam and passing it may well save your boat, if not your life.

We provide two options for obtaining this card:

1) Home Study followed by an evening CLASS aboard our vessel (after which you will write the exam). Cost $55. plus GST. Includes a homestudy package, and wallet-size card indicating proof of certification..

2) In conjunction with our Basic Cruising course. Add $35. to this course for your study materials, exam and PCOC card.

PRIVATE LESSONS:

Whether you have just bought a new boat and need some help in familiarizing yourself with it, need one-on-one sailing instruction, or need help in delivering her, we can help you.

Charges for both training and boat deliveries are around $250. per day plus expenses. Note that two of our Skippers are certified to teach and deliver power boats as well as sail. Call us if you need more information
