Blackfish is an accredited CYA sailing school offering sail training courses, tours, and crewed sailing charters from our base in Victoria, BC. Canada. Our focus is southern Vancouver Island, the Gulf and San Juan Islands. At least once a year we organize sail charters around Vancouver Island and in the Caribbean.

We operate all year around. Being moored at Oak Bay Marina, we are a mere 10 minute drive from Victoria's Inner Harbour. Most of our day sails are centred around Oak Bay. These waters are ringed by many islands, adding interest and wild places to explore, while providing protection from prevailing winds and seas. If you desire more challenging conditions you have the choice of venturing into Haro Strait or Juan de Fuca Straits adjacent. The panoramic views of snow-capped Mount Baker and the Olympic Mountains make sailing these waters especially memorable.

In recent years we have added "flotilla" sails" for groups wishing to sail with other boats of a similar size. Whether it be "team-building" or racing, or just plain cruising, this has proved to be a popular experience for larger size groups. Check out the cruises we have organized in the Caribbean this winter featuring such islands as St. Lucia, Martinique and Antigua.
